About Eoin Colfer

Eoin Colfer was born in Wexford, Ireland in 1965. A former primary school teacher, he worked abroad in Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, and Italy before becoming a full-time writer. His first novel, Benny and Omar (1998), was an immediate bestseller. He is best known for the Artemis Fowl series, which has sold over 25 million copies worldwide.
